Founded in 2004
commsLAB was founded in 2004. It serves private companies, nonprofit and political organizations as well as individuals who, due to their public importance, are exposed to increased reputation risks.
commsLAB serves clients in the sectors of banking, insurance, healthcare, public authorities, pharmaceuticals, telecommunications, industry and research.

Owner, Senior Consultant
Daniel Künstle has been the managing director of commsLAB since 2004.
Prior to that, from 1994 to 2001, he was group spokesman and communications consultant for UBS and its predecessor Swiss Bank Corporation. Subsequently, he built up and headed the UBS Group unit Corporate Reputation Analysis until the end of 2004.
From the end of 2004 until the end of 2008, Daniel Künstle was Chief of Staff at the Swiss Insurance Supervisory Authority and member of the steering committee for the establishment of the new Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority FINMA.
Daniel Künstle has been a member of the board of trustees of the fög foundation since 2015 and is a lecturer in reputation and issue management.
Mario Schranz has been senior consultant at commsLAB since 2018.
Prior to this, he held various executive positions at the Research Center for the Public Sphere and Society (fög) at the University of Zurich, most recently as head of the institute from 2015 to 2018. He received his doctorate in 2006 with a dissertation on “Corporate Social Responsibility”.
Mario Schranz has been a member of the fög foundation board since 2015 and is a lecturer in the field of reputation and issue management.
Angelo Gisler has been a senior consultant at commsLAB since 2018.
Prior to this, he had already been employed at the company as a consultant for six years.
From 2004 to 2018, Angelo Gisler held various management positions at the Research Center for the Public Sphere and Society (fög) at the University of Zurich, most recently as Head of Research Partnerships.
In addition, Angelo Gisler is a lecturer in the field of reputation and issue management.
Consultant, Head of Data Analysis
Oscar Villiger has been responsible for data analysis at commsLAB since 2016 and works as a consultant.
He graduated as Bachelor of Arts in Economics at the University of Zurich with focus on Banking and Finance.
Finance & Administration
Anna Künstle has been responsible for back-office management at commsLAB as well as HR and finance since 2009.
She graduated as Master of Arts in Economics at the University of Basel.
